WHO WE ARE.

Save the Meerkats was founded in 2017 in Portland, Oregon. It started as a simple joke– "one stripe of tape for meerkat rights–" until we realized how serious of an issue this was.

Cole Pressler visited Steens Mountain Running Camp in Summer 2018 and was brought together in a tent (Tent 5, "Sage Suites," pictured above) with a group of high school runners from the Portland area. He explained the issue and what they could do to help. Everyone was sympathetic to the cause, and soon enough, the Meerkat Track Club was born.

The cause expanded into merch. We now have members in four states and three countries wearing our products, stretching from the US to Europe to New Zealand. We hope to expand in the future, but we need everyone's help.

Sadly, even though meerkats contribute so much to our society, they are not permitted to rent a car, buy a house, or even vote. We on the Meerkat Track Club are truly saddened by this issue and hope we can help by growing our club, one member at a time.
